South Sound Dental Care: More Appointment Requests, Year After Year

One marketing team for years: a website that keeps growing with the practice, Google Ads measured on phone calls, and steady search work that keeps Tacoma patients finding it.

Where the Practice Started

South Sound Dental Care is a family practice in Tacoma that also handles cosmetic work, Invisalign and same-day emergencies.

In 2014 its website ran on a dental vendor’s template, the kind many practices share. Since then the practice has added treatments, a membership plan for patients without insurance and extra new-patient hours, and each one needed a way for patients to find it.

What the Practice Needed

  • A website of its ownNot a vendor template, but a site that could grow with the practice.
  • A page for every treatmentInvisalign, same-day crowns, emergencies and a membership plan each needed a page patients could find on Google.
  • Phone calls, not just clicksAds had to bring calls from people ready to book.
  • One team, no handoffsWebsite, search, ads and social handled by the same people, year after year.

What Changed for the Practice

A website that grows with the practice

Before 2015, the practice ran on a vendor template. We built its own site in 2015, rebuilt it in 2021, and have kept improving it ever since.

  • 2015: the practice’s own website replaces the vendor template.
  • 2021: a full rebuild.
  • Every month since: new and better pages.

A new or better page every month

In 2025 the team rebuilt a major page or section every month, starting with the pages patients use most.

  • Treatment pages for Invisalign, same-day crowns, Botox and cosmetic dentistry.
  • Emergency pages and a same-day care banner for patients in pain.
  • Meet Our Doctors and patient reviews pages that show the people behind the practice.

Google Ads measured on phone calls

In January 2025 we launched a campaign built for new patients, patients without insurance and dental emergencies. Every ad is judged on the calls it brings to the office.

  • Calls from Google Ads climbed year over year.
  • On a smaller ad budget.
  • Separate ads for emergencies, new patients and patients without insurance.

Answers to the questions patients search for

Patients search for answers before they call: what a tooth extraction costs, how gum disease starts, what to do in an emergency. The article library now sorts those answers by topic.

  • Patient topics, each led by its most useful guide.
  • Guides link to the treatment pages they explain.
  • An emergency cost guide for patients comparing options.
