Looking for Inspiration

Finding Inspiration.., Website Efficiency & Security., A Brand Refresh!

Hurry up to feel inspired.  Is it just me?  I know I need down time.  I know I need to meditate and be still and find the space where inspiration hits….but I’m in such an undesirable rush all the time.  Even when I’m “still and quiet” I feel the consistent buzz of urgency.

Today I sat and looked at that buzz of urgency in my seemingly still and peaceful room and wondered yet again: what is that all about?  When I imagined this morning I imagined a relaxing morning of coffee, breakfast and listening to a newly purchased album with my boyfriend before the buoyant anticipation of leaving for work – work that I love.  And, if someone was looking in on my life, as if watching a movie – and they didn’t know about the buzz – what I had imagined about my morning is what they would’ve observed.

I think we see this all the time through the lens of social media.  We see fun, relaxed, successful friends and acquaintances enjoying all the highs of being human.  And, of course those highs exist, but I believe most of us feel a consistent buzz.  This buzzing keeps us moving forward and it is invigorating but also it also makes real down-time challenging.  And if the buzzing in our head wasn’t enough, every electronic device is buzzing too, to remind us of one urgency or another.

All that to say, I hope you had more quiet-time than buzz this past holiday – and continue to make time for it throughout the year.  Because it is the quiet times that allow for inspiration to hit.  And it is so fun when it does!  If you would like some tips for how to get to a space that allows for more attention span, ideas and planning I suggest this TED Talk!

It’s Q1 and I’m excited for the freshness of a new year and longer days.  And I’m excited for the momentum that a fresh start can give us.  If we work together, let’s schedule a meeting to discuss implementing our latest inspirations and if we don’t work together    maybe we should.
