Please tell me “What’s In It For Me.” And make it quick!
It’s too crowded, it’s too busy, and it’s definitely too noisy. In 2025 everything is just too much. I’m a huge fan of getting to the point and making the point first…I suppose marketing and I really were meant for each other.
*For a handy resource check out Smart Brevity for great advice from recovering long-winded journalists.
The more I don’t know you, trust you, or consciously need you, the quicker you need to get to the point. Otherwise, your message is discarded. This applies to:
- Emails
- Flyers
- Postcards
- Websites
- Social Media Ads
- Google Ads
- Presentations
- Speeches
- IRL Networking Exchanges
Give value first – the law of reciprocity says that if you give, you will get in return. It’s how the world goes round.
