A different kind of vote.

Nov 3, 2020 | SEO & Local Visibility

I started selling yellow pages advertising in 1998 (yeah wow).  Since then, I’ve asked thousands of small businesses all over the country where their customers come from.  Almost all have said that they rely heavily on referrals and word-of-mouth.  When I started my own small business, I found that the same applied to me.  And I cannot stress enough how grateful I am for it!  For all of you that have helped me grow, thank you from the bottom of my heart!

When covid hit us all like a ton of bricks I was concerned about the health of Americans (and the world) and my loved ones, of course, but largely I was thinking about the impact it would have on small business.  And every time I see a small business close I mourn a bit for what I know the owners and the employees and the community are going through.

So today I ask you to remember to vote, to vote for your favorite small businesses.  We can vote with our dollars but we can also vote with our words.  When you have a good experience, please let others know, personally of course, but also online by leaving a review on Google, Yelp, and Facebook.  These reviews are extremely beneficial to businesses, not only for others to read but for local search engine optimization as well.  And I can personally attest to how much they mean to me.  I love what I do, which is why I do it.  But when someone takes the time to leave a review online, it literally makes my day.

It’s a little thing, but little things can have a big impact.  Every vote counts!
