Get Close and Collide to Get Creative!

Aug 3, 2024 | Strategy, Mindset & Leadership

What’s better for creativity: Zoom or in-person meetings? Hands down, in-person interactions fuel creativity. While Zoom excels at task-focused efficiency, our environment significantly impacts everything we do, including our ability to think outside the box.

Don’t even get me started on lighting! I want light and a lot of it!

Efficiency is crucial and easy to prioritize, especially when considering the bottom line. However, marketing magic arises from collaborative creativity. So, how do we cultivate an environment ideal for creative collaboration?

I recently finished The Culture Code by Daniel Coyle, and it revealed that highly creative companies like Pixar intentionally create “collision-rich” spaces. These are areas designed for spontaneous encounters, group gatherings, and ample workspace for teamwork.

Facilitating feedback and connection is key. Create a culture where sharing ideas openly, easily, and safely is encouraged. Then, watch creativity flourish!
